LOOKING AFTER THE RIVER WORTH FOR WILDLIFE AND THE COMMUNITY

From it's source above Haworth until it joins the Aire in Keighley, the River Worth is a focus for our communities and for wildlife. Many of the towns and villages on its banks would not exist if it wasn't for the river, they grew around mills that drew their power from the river. Likewise an abundance of wildlife depends on the river, a whole ecosystem is formed around it. River Worth Friends is a volunteer group working to advance the conservation, protection, restoration and improvement of the River Worth and its environs for the benefit of wildlife and the public.
