Meet our volunteers
Sue Patchett (Trustee general secretary)
Born and bred in Riddlesden Sue has had a life long interest in nature and conservation. She organises most of our river clean ups. Many of the Toads in Riddlesden owe their lives to her as she also organises the Riddlesden Toad Patrol. |
John Tickner
A founder member of RWF John is an amateur photographer with a keen interest in recording the wildlife all along the Worth and it's tributaries. He is also very knowledgeable about the history of the river. As you can see he also likes to get his waders on and get in the water. |
Chris Tribe (Trustee)
Another founder member, Chris' interest comes from fishing the Worth regularly, where he sees the impact of litter and debris in the river. He doesn't only use his waders when fishing, he also joins John in the water on clearing sessions. |
Kevin Sunderland
Kevin is a founder member and trustee of the Aire Rivers Trust. He has been working for over twenty years toward his ambition to see salmon again on the Aire and spawning in the river Worth. |
Geraldine Hale
Another keen toad patroller Geraldine was encouraged to join RWF by Sue Patchett. She loves the opportunities to be beside the water that come from volunteering. |
Geoff Hale (Trustee treasurer)
Geoff has been talked into being our treasurer. He says "Arrr feel particularly qualified to be yon treasurer seeing as how my entire life has been keenly focussed on seeking treasure". Not sure where the accent is from! |
